About this Course :

This course comprises of 6 modules/lessons split into various chapters to explore topics like diabetes during Ramadan, travel, in case of an infection, as well as in special population like children, elderly people and in pregnant women. It will also expose the cardiometabolic risks in diabetes.

These modules promote healthy lifestyles and effective self-management for optimal diabetes control.

This online course is for primary care physicians and general practitioners enabling them to develop the skills needed to drive transformational change in diabetes care, and spread improvement beyond the consultation room and across practices.

Course content :

Course consists of a series of modules/lessons which are divided into byte size chapters. These byte size chapters focus on a single topic, enabling you to gain a better understanding of each topic.

  • Recommend evidence-based and guideline-recommended management options for infections in patients with diabetes mellitus.

  • Discuss the epidemiology of hyperglycaemia in pregnancy.

  • Describe the maternal and foetal complications of hyperglycaemia in pregnancy.
  • Apply guideline recommendations for screening, diagnosing and managing hyperglycaemia in pregnancy.
